四、One possible version:
Last Monday, we had a class meeting to discuss about Chinese Style of Crossing Roads. Everyone was involved in it and we finally came up with some bright ideas.
The next day, we were divided into several groups and stepped out of school to do something to prevent this phenomenon. One group made some posters and used a loudspeaker to raise people’s awareness of this problem. The other group chose to stand by the road side and used little flags to direct people to pass the zebra crossing.
Our efforts paid off, and this phenomenon almost disappeared. To our joy and surprise, Beijing Youth Daily reported what we did and praised us. What a worthy reward we received!

M: No. No way. I mean, what is Randall like anyway?
W: Oh, Randall? Ah, he’s kind, and he gets along with everyone . . . when he is awake.
M: What?
W: Yeah, he plays video games about, well until about four in the morning, but the noise won’t bother you much. Just wear earphones. And he can give you a ride to school . . . uh, when he goes.
M: No, forget it. I’ll live with my brother in the dorm. |

M: Hello, I’m carrying out some market research of Beauty Fitness Club. Would you be able to spare a few minutes to answer a few questions?
W: Sure, as long as it doesn’t take more than 5 minutes.
M: OK, first of all, may I have your membership number, please?
W: Urm…It’s PTF78196.
M: So that’s PTF78196. OK, and could you tell me when your membership started?
W: Oh, yeah, I joined it on January, er 20th, I think. Oh, no, no. It was on February 26th.
M: And your occupation?
W: I’m a lawyer.
M: OK, now I’d like to ask you some questions relating to the club. What do you think of our classes?
W: Urm, I really enjoy them. I attend tennis and yoga.
M: If the scale is one to five. Five is the best. How would you rate your instructors?
W: Oh, I would say… the top score, definitely. They’re extremely professional and supportive.
M: Do you have any suggestions for the improvement?
W: Well, the only thing I would say is the evening class. Yoga, I mean, can get very busy. Maybe the club could think about running another class in the evening.
M: Well, thanks. We take the view of our customers very seriously and I’m sure you’ll see some exciting improvement in the near future. |
